| Introduction 简介 A quotation is a promise to supply goods on the terms stated.It, however,is not legally binding as a firm offer if the seller later decides not to sell. Offers are made when a seller promises to sell goods at a state, price and within a stated period of time. A offer will include the following: (1) an expression of thanks for the enquiry, if any; (2) name of commodities, quality, quantity, and specifications! (3) details of prices, terms of payment, commissions, or discounts, if any (4) packing and date of delivery~ (5) the validity of the offer; If a buyer does not agree with any or some of the transaction of a quotation or a offer, he sends a counter—offer. In the counter-offer, the buyer may show his disagreement to the certain term or terms and state his own idea instead.Such alterations,no matter how slight they may appear to be, signify that business has to be negotiated on the renewed basis。The original offerer or the seller now becomes the offeree and he has the full right of acceptance or refusal。In the latter case, he may make another counteroffer of his own.This process can go on for many a round till business is finalized or called off. 3.2 Samples 例文 Letter 1 Quotation and Reply 报价及回复 (Quotation) Dear Sirs, We thank you for your enquiry of August 22 and are pleased to send you our quotation for the goods you required as follows: Commodity:“White Rabbit”Brand Woolen Mixed Blanket No.33.
